Denby Pottery Arabesque

Isn't is strange how some patterns of tableware are popular for a short while but then disappear completely? Other patterns are popular from the outset, but are still loved and sought after, many years after their production has ceased.

Denby Pottery Arabesque in definitely one of the latter. I suppose it is a bit like Marmite really; either you love it or you hate it. It is so striking and unusual that there is no "in between" in feelings about it. Arabesque was designed by Gill Pemberton and went into production in the 1960's and was not discontinued until 1984. Not many of the patterns currently being produced with be in production for a half of that time span.

Despite the fact that it has not been made for nearly a quarter of a century, Arabesque is still much sought after, both by people who use it on a daily basis and by collectors from around the world.

We have just managed to purchase a small amount of Arabesque and as usual much of it has been snapped up almost before we had finished listing in on the website.

If you are looking for items of this lovely set, visit our web site at http://www.replaceyourchina.com/denby-pottery-arabesque-16-c.asp before it all disappears.

Enjoy your tableware.
