Denby Pottery Arabesque Tableware

DENBY POTTERY ARABESQUE TABLEWARE

Of all the tableware patterns that we deal with, I still find Denby Pottery's Arabesque to be one of the most intriguing. It was designed by Gill Pemberton in the early 1960's and is said to have been inspired by a visit to Russia. The exotic nature of the design does make this idea quite feasible.

The range of items produced in Arabesque seems to be never ending. Every time we think that we have seen everything, another item or shape turns up. It is also interesting to see the variations in the patterning over the years as the production methods were modernised.

We have just obtained a small quantity of items in this pattern including the much sought after rectangular, divided, lidded vegetable dish. Many items were sold out as soon as they appeared on our website at www.replaceyourchina.com so the interest Denby Pottery's Arabeesque is as strong as ever.

Enjoy your tableware,
Regards,
