Discontinued Tableware from Marks and Spencer

Marks and Spencer is doubtless one of the biggest names in the UK retail business, so it is hardly surprising that they have sold an enormous amount of tableware. However, just like other tableware brands, most of the patterns that they have sold, have now been discontinued.

In typical Marks and Spencer style, many of their brand name patterns have been produced by some of the finest tableware manufacturers in the UK.

Hornsea Pottery were responsible for such patterns as Harvest and Autumn Leaves. Both of these ranges were sold in enormous quantites and are still popular today. In fact, besides the pottery items produced by Hornsea for Marks and Spencer, items such as kitchen scales, linen tableware, and cutlery were also produced in these ranges. We currently have stocks of many of these items available at www.replaceyourchina.com

At a later date Royal Doulton were producing for M & S. They were responsible for some lovely ranges such as Lumiere, Connaught, Felsham, Hampton and Millbrook. Once again all of these patterns have been discontinued.

Now, much of the modern tableware from Marks and Spencer, is produced for them abroad. I suppose that this is hardly surprising when you view the diminishing size of the UK tableware industry. Still, if you are lucky enough to be the proud owner of some of the discontinued ranges, don't be afraid to contact us or visit our web site so that you can top up after breakages or even expand your table settings to cater for any additional guests.

Enjoy your tableware.
